Assessment reports document where we’ve been, what we’ve done, why we did it, and the next steps we intend to take.  To the extent it is necessary to “prove” that we are assessing student learning, they serve that function as well.

As we strive for continuous improvement, the work each report represents is a stepping stone to the next report.  Still, looking back from time to time will often be appropriate and occasionally even necessary.
